Art and Design Curriculum (Curriculum Designer: Lauren Boylan)

We aim to ensure that all pupils

• produce creative work, exploring their ideas and recording their experiences
• become proficient in drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques
• evaluate and analyse creative works using the language of art, craft and design
• Know about great artists, craft makers and designers, and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms. 

In the EYFS we use the EYFS framework that is structured differently to the national curriculum as it organised across the seven areas of learning rather than a subject area. Please see the Art and Design LTP which contains Nursery and Reception planning.

Each unit is accompanied by a Knowledge Mat (click on the curriculum tab). This gives the key learning and vocab that your child is expected to know at the end of the unit.
