Parent Satisfaction

We ensure that our parents feel confident and secure that their child is getting the very best care and education. The quote below typifies how parents feel about our Nursery:

"Together you have provided Jacob with the best possible start to school life. We were nervous about how Jacob would settle but as we came to the end of his pre-school year we couldn't be happier. The last year has been the perfect balance for Jacob - lots of play and the opportunity to let him explore his creative side, but at the same time, he has learnt so much. Most of all together you've made us all feel so relaxed. You've greeted us daily with a huge smile and filled us with confidence that you would look after Jacob in the best possible way. He's had so much fun with you all. We'd like to say a very sincere thank you."

Expert Childcare With A Difference

At St Christopher's we believe that children should be allowed to develop at their own pace. We want to give them as many new, interesting and stimulating experiences as we can, to develop their knowledge, imagination and personality. We try to help them grow as confident individuals. We have implemented the new 2023 EYFS Framework, which ensures that children are taught a very challenging but enjoyable curriculum that makes sure they make incredible progress.

We have also been in your shoes and understand what a parent is going through when they choose a nursery for their child. We have two full-time qualified teachers who work in and manage our Early Years department. All our teaching assistants have many years of experience working with children and parents and are qualified for Level 3 and Level 4 and have paediatric first aid certificates.

We work closely with Ruth Levy (EY2P), an Early Years adviser, so our provision is to give your child the very best Nursery experience. We ensure that we are using the very latest teaching methods.  All staff undergo a rigorous training schedule so the children are expertly supported throughout all their learning opportunities.

The exciting imaginative outdoor play area ignites the children's enthusiasm for play and learning. The excellent facilities and resources enable the children to thoroughly develop their senses, investigate and explore.

Tapestry

As well as communicating in person we have Tapestry which is our online tool to show you exactly what your child is doing. It is also an opportunity to show us pictures and films of your child at home. Over their time in our Nursery, this becomes a record of their time in our Nursery and something you can keep.

Wraparound Care

If you require extended hours we offer wrap-around care with our Busy Bee's Club, The Busy Bees Club is staffed by three experienced members of staff. One member of staff is employed in the Nursery and will know your child. The Club opens at 7.30 a.m. and closes at  5.30 p.m.

Happy School Family

The Nursery children are also very much a part of the school and take part in school events. Parents are encouraged to come in and join their children in the Nursery to see them in the department. On a Friday you are invited to assembly to see the children and experience the special family atmosphere.

Many of our children stay at St Christopher's and continue into Primary school and then go onto St Damian's High School. Both are Outstanding schools and St Christopher's Primary School was recently ranked by the Sunday Times as the 48th best school in the country.

We encourage parents and grandparents to visit our Nursery and experience the special atmosphere and care that we offer. You can also ask other parents about the Nursery and see how happy they are.
