PE & Sports Premium Funding 2022/23

   

The primary PE and sport premium was introduced in March 2013 to improve the provision of physical education and school sport in primary schools across England. The funding is allocated directly to primary schools and is ring-fenced, this means it may only be spent on improving the provision of PE and sports in schools. 

At St Christopher's we use the funding to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sports we offer.

Swimming 2022/3

The current Year 6 had some of their swimming interrupted during the Covid-19 pandemic. They will be assessed in the Spring term and those who cannot pass the criteria below will be given additional lessons in the summer term 2023. 

  • swim competently, confidently and proficently over s distance of a t least 25m
  • use a range of strokes effectively (e.g. front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke)
  • perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations.
